Starlink, a division of SpaceX, intends to launch third-generation satellites in early 2026, offering significant performance improvements over existing models. With enhancements of 10x and 24x, respectively, each new satellite will offer more than 1 terabit per second downlink bandwidth and more than 200 Gbps uplink. Each launch using Starship rockets will increase network capacity by 20 times, to 60 Tbps. The satellites operate at lower altitudes for faster data delivery and have improved technology, such as new computers, modems, and beamforming capabilities. This puts Starlink in a position to facilitate 5G rollout and satisfy rising worldwide demand.
