This weekend’s Mugello round of the MotoGP championship saw Marc Marquez (Ducati) dominate once more. Marc won the Sprint on Saturday and the main race on Sunday from pole position. He set a record by taking the 100th pole position of his career.
The obvious suspects, Alex Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia, both riding Ducatis, finished second and third on Saturday.
In the race on Sunday, Marc Marquez and Bagnaia engaged in a heated struggle for the first two laps until the Márquez brothers passed and left Bagnaia in third place, where he was eventually passed by Ducati’s Fabio Di Giannantonio. Bagnaia came in fourth place.
Marc Marquez surpasses his brother Alex in championship points.
