Toprak Razgatlioğlu, a BMW Motorrad factory rider, won the FIM World Superbike Championship last year with the help of the BMW Motorrad factory superbike M 1000 RR. For both street and track use, the Concept RR provides an incredible display of superlatives. Never before has the transition from racing to the road been so evident. It embodies BMW Motorrad’s assertive leadership in providing the best engineering caliber and optimal performance in this market.
New standard for aerodynamics and lightweight construction. The BMW Motorrad Concept RR raises the bar for lightweight construction by utilizing cutting-edge production processes and advanced materials like aluminum and carbon. Every element, from the frame to the smallest part, is constantly improved for performance and lightweight design. With an illuminated RR symbol on the underside of the tiny aluminum tail and an embossed RR logo on the tail, the design also adheres to the principles of being expressive, purposeful, and crisp.
Aerodynamics was given considerable attention by the BMW Motorrad engineers, who focused on the difficult goals of “minimum air resistance for optimal top speed,” “highest turning speeds,” and “riding stability at very high speeds.” Through an incredibly small package, fewer external attachments, and improved airflow precision throughout the motorcycle—from the ventilated front to the monolithic, likewise vented, aerodynamically optimized rear—the Concept RR achieves these conflicting objectives.
