In order to make the 2026 BMW R 1300 RS sport-tourer livelier than its predecessor, it has been modified with a new chassis, aggressive ergonomics, a more powerful engine, and more. The engine produces 110 lb-ft and 145 horsepower and is the same revised liquid-cooled 1,300cc boxer as the R 1300 R above. The basic ride modes are Road, Rain, and Eco. To optimize range, Eco works in tandem with BMW ShiftCam technology. In addition to being new, the sheet-metal steel frame is reportedly more compact and has higher levels of stiffness than the old frame. A die-cast aluminum subframe is used in place of the prior tubular-steel one.

The rider is positioned more forward over the front wheel thanks to a flatter handlebar and rear-set footpegs. Additionally, the handlebar has been widened by 1.4 inches. The height of the seat is 31.1 inches. A reworked EVO Paralever suspension with 5.5 inches of travel up front and 5.1 inches in back, as well as a 47mm inverted telescopic fork, are also new.
Racing Blue is the standard color for the BMW R 1300 RS. Black Storm Metallic paint is a feature of the Style Triple Black version. The Style Performance option is available in Light White, while the Option 719 Cuyamaca variation is painted Brooklyn Gray Metallic.
