A 3,000-vehicle cargo ship catches fire off the coast of Alaska

Since Tuesday, a cargo ship in the Bering Sea has been burning off the Aleutian Islands. When the 22-person crew of the ‘Morning Midas’ failed to contain the fire despite efforts to do so, they were evacuated. Around 3,000 cars, including hybrid and electric models, were being transported by sea from China to Mexico.
