Updates to the 2026 BMW R 1300 RT make it even more comfortable and capable for long-distance driving. The engine produces 110 lb-ft and 145 horsepower and is the same revised liquid-cooled 1,300cc boxer as the R 1300 R above. Road, Rain, and Eco are the normal ride modes. A new steel sheet metal unit has been added to the frame, which is supposed to provide more stiffness than the old one. An aluminum lattice tube subframe is also new, enabling longer, more comfortable seats for both riders and passengers as well as two-stage seat height adjustment for the rider’s seat.

The EVO Telelever and EVO Paralever electrically adjustable suspension systems provide 5.9 inches of front travel and 6.2 inches of rear travel. In comparison to the old wheels, the new 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels weigh 3.0 lbs less. Standard equipment includes Fully Integral ABS Pro. Two 27-liter saddlebags that have been modified to fit closer to the motorcycle without compromising passenger legroom are also included as standard equipment with the RT.
The base 2026 BMW R 1300 RT model is available in Mineral Gray Metallic Matte and Alpine White. The Style Impulse version is painted Racing Blue, the Style Triple Black is painted Black Storm Metallic, and the Option 719 Camargue is painted Blue Ridge Mountain Metallic.
